We Help Families Start Over

Hello New Life Warehouse Friends! Happy Spring! We are so grateful to all of you as we continue to serve families who are recovering from homelessness. We served 91 families in February, which is our highest month ever! The demand depleted the furniture in the warehouse and many of our smaller donated items. We can't thank you all enough for continuing to donate furniture and share with your friends that we always need donations. We are also extremely thankful for your service as you help us make deliveries with smiling faces and joyful hearts. It's a true joy to see the New Life Warehouse family come together on Saturdays and serve our families.

We will make weekend deliveries again on the 14th and 28th of March. We also have an Open House coming up in April, and a family friendly fundraiser at Horsepower for Kids on May 3rd. We hope you will invite all of your friends and family. Thank you all for your prayers and support as we continue to Help Families Start Over.

I Lost Everything

This pretty lady was SO excited to receive her furniture in February. The volunteers who delivered to her said she was like a kid at Christmas! She was especially grateful to receive a new Bible as she had lost hers when she couldn't make her storage payments.

'LaDawn' shared this about her situation:

"I have no family support emotionally or physically. For the past two years, I have experienced homelessness, moving between other people’s homes and staying in hotels. I lost the apartment I had maintained for 10 years due to overwhelming bills and a $1,000 wage garnishment related to car and hospital debts. During this time, I relied on Lyft for transportation to and from work while living in the hotel, which added significant financial strain. I placed all my belongings in storage but eventually lost everything when I could no longer afford the storage payments." LaDawn believes in Jesus and knows God answers prayers. She asks that we pray for her stability and independence.

Radiant Youth Radiate Love!

We are so thankful for the wonderful young people coming out to serve from Radiant Church in Odessa! They came bright and early to the fourth delivery Saturday and made three large deliveries! They are such a joyful and generous group of believers who love serving their local community.

They served a family who had been through the school of very hard knocks. 'Annie and Bob' shared this about their circumstances:

"We went through 2 hurricanes and lost everything. Also had covid right after causing loss of employment. Living paycheck to paycheck. Couldn't afford to lose one paycheck and things went downhill from there causing homelessness. We have no furniture or kitchen items."

They asked for our prayers: "Please pray that God places His hedge of protection around us and continues to use us as an example of what Christ looks like."

Thank you Radiant Church of Odessa, for becoming part of the New Life Warehouse family. We can't wait to see you again in March!

Fundraising Committee

Would you like to become more involved with New Life Warehouse? Do you have gifts and talents you can share? We are looking for people to join our Fundraising Committee as we start to plan our upcoming Fundraiser, which will be at Sorie Estates in Lutz on Friday, November 6th. It will have a Christmas theme and promises to be a wonderful time to socialize and celebrate the ministry as we raise the funds needed to allow us to operate.

New Life Warehouse will be hosting an Open House on Saturday, April 18th from 10am-1pm. It will be a casual and fun event with food trucks and raffles. There will be a self-guided tour of the warehouse and chances to buy NLW merchandise.

This is a great opportunity to invite your friends and colleagues to come see the warehouse and learn more about our mission. Stop by anytime between 10 and 1 and tour the warehouse.

We are looking for volunteers to help us greet guests at the Open House. We are also looking for businesses who would be interested in partnering with us for the event.

If you would like to help, or if your business would like to sponsor a table or raffle, please email or text Barb - barb@newlifewarehouse.org - 813 385 7648.

Volunteer Spotlight - Colleen, Mary Ann and Cassie

Have you ever wondered how elves at the North Pole make it through Christmas? If you ever get a chance, come on over to the warehouse and watch our toy “elves” in action. Mary Ann Hand, Colleen Schuette and Cassie Phillips work together, not just at Christmas, but all year long, making sure the children get the games, books and toys that bring them joy and normalcy. They’re not only provide the fun, but they also provide the developmental items that children need to grow. Books, puzzles and school supplies are very important to the children we serve for normal development. Thank you ladies for making such a huge difference to the children and teens in our community❤️
