Dear CCR Supporter,
We are thankful!
This time next week you will be celebrating Thanksgiving with family and friends, feasting on all the yummy food that represents this holiday, watching football and sharing stories about life. As the President and Executive Director of Chicago Canine Rescue, along with the unbelievable staff here, dedicated volunteers, and of course our furry friends we want to take a few minutes to let you know how thankful we are to have you as a part of our mission!
As your Community Shelter we strive to give back by caring for those who have no voice. By providing a home for the many unwanted puppies and strays that have been abandoned or we have rescued just hours away from being euthanized at neighboring shelters, we are committed to work with every dog and to find a home where they can have a family. You have entrusted us with your donations and we will never let you down.
We have survived for over 20 years providing the 2nd chances to these special pups. The work we do at Chicago Canine Rescue is vital to your community. But we can only do this with your help!
Recently the Chicago Sun, columnist Mike Sneed of the Sun times, printed the attached article on our never ending work. Featured in the article is the “Great 8” these 8 dogs have been at CCR for a combination of more than 2,600 days. We had one permanent adoption and interest on some of our other dogs. If it is in your heart to share these 7 remaining pups, this is a monumentally important thing to know about no kill shelters - it takes such work to keep them mentally engaged and healthy, happy and get enough human one on one time, or play.
We count on every share and every donation to truly “Leave No Dog Behind!”.
As busy and hectic as this season is, I ask you to please take 2 minutes to read this article. We hope it will open your hearts to learn who we are, what we do, why we do it and how we do it. To help us continue to give 2nd chances please consider making a donation now. Any amount will make a difference. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY!
Respectfully,
Marnie Harris
