ReStore’s Upcycle Challenge is a great chance for you to flex your creative muscles, show off your DIY skills, and take part in ReStore’s green mission.

Come into the ReStore and purchase items to upcycle and renovate. Post pictures to our our Facebook event page as you work, and stay tuned for the announcement of our winners in April. The winner will receive a $200 credit to the ReStore. After the contest ends, participants can donate their project to the ReStore to help fund affordable housing in Linn and Benton Counties, or keep it for themself.

Participants can share as many photos of their process as they’d like, detailing any steps taken as part of the makeover! For those without Facebook, photos can be sent to community@cvhabitat.org with the subject line “Upcycle Challenge”.

We can’t wait to see the creativity of the ReStore community!

Join us March 3rd for our first Women Build classes of 2026!

We will learn valuable DIY and construction skills in a collaborative and friendly environment geared toward empowering women!

Registration is required and can be done here: cvhabitat.org/wbclass

Congratulations to the winner of our Home Team Huddle raffle, Barb Scoles. Barb won two tickets to an in-country, regular season NFL game, a $1,000 airfare voucher, and a $500 hotel voucher.

This event raised over $16,000 to support Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity's mission.

Thank you to our sponsors who made this event possible:

DoubleTree by Hilton

We extend our heartfelt thanks to ShiveHattery for their generous support of Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity families.

Their team purchased and assembled bicycles that will be gifted to the children of future Habitat homeowners; bringing joy, encouragement, and a little extra excitement as families begin life in their new homes.

We are deeply grateful for their kindness and commitment to our community.

Carly first volunteered with Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity in 2016 when she became a Mortgage Loan Officer with Hills Bank. After a number of volunteer days on our construction sites, Carly joined our Family Selection Committee in 2022.

"My career allows me to help people achieve their goals of homeownership, and Habitat felt like a natural, hands-on way to give back to the community while supporting that same mission"

If you would like to donate your time and talent by volunteering with Habitat, please contact Kelly Murphy at kelly.murphy@cvhabitat.org or 319.366.4485, ext. 104.
