Historical Tidbit:
Whitman, Changing Names
and Borders

When first settled what is now Whitman was the "Little Comfort" section of Bridgewater. That area became part of the town of Abington in 1712. In 1875 it was incorporated as the town of South Abington and included additional land from northeastern Bridgewater. In 1886 a vote taken at town meeting changed the name of the town to Whitman in honor of town resident Augustus Whitman.

In an early attempt to provide a municipal water system the town obtained a franchise for water from Silver Lake but was not able to provide sufficient finances. The franchise was turned over to Brockton in exchange for an agreement that provided Whitman with water at a special rate, and Silver Lake water began flowing in the town on January 2, 1905.

Respectfully Submitted, James Holbert

Perception
Our interactions with others will change when we change our perception... our approach... our view. Every relationship is 50/50, we each have equal impact on an interaction... empower yourself with control over your perception.

“Life is all about perception. Positive versus negative. Whichever you choose will affect and more than likely reflect your outcomes.” ~ Sonya Teclai

“There is no fixed physical reality, no single perception of the world, just numerous ways of interpreting world views as dictated by one’s nervous system and the specific environment of our planetary existence.”
~ Deepak Chopra

The moment you change your perception is the moment you rewrite the chemistry of your body.” ~Dr. Bruce Lipton

“What you see and what you hear depends a great deal on where you are standing. It also depends on what sort of person you are.” ~ C.S. Lewis
I wonder, dear reader, what needs to be made better by changing how we think about it? ~ Jacquie
