LIC Springs! Street Festival
Saturday, May 31, 12-5 p.m., Vernon Boulevard Between 46th and 50th Avenues
LIC Springs! is our six-block street festival celebrating Long Island City with live performances, interactive lessons, art, fitness classes, outdoor dining, pop-up activities, games, and more. The event is free, open to the public, and draws around 10,000 people annually.

To participate with an activity table in the LIC Springs! Street Festival, your business must:
- Be a MEMBER of LIC Partnership or the LIC Business Improvement District
- Have a physical presence in LIC
- Offer a free and interactive activity for the duration of the event

Culture x Real Estate Vol. 3 Recap
On Thursday, May 1, we brought together some of the neighborhood’s most dynamic arts and cultural organizations and residential real estate communities for an evening together at MoMA PS1. Thank you to our speakers, Molly Kurzius (MoMA PS1), LICP President Laura Rothrock, Deputy Queens Borough Presiden Ebony Young, Anne del Castillo (NYC Department of Cultural Affairs), Jasper Wu (ZD Jasper), and Rana Amirtahmasebi (Author, "The Routledge Handbook of Urban Cultural Planning"). A special thanks to our event sponsor ZD Jasper and local LIC restaurants Dun Huang, Han Dynasty, and Softbite, who provided food and drinks. BID Day 2025 Recap
On Tuesday, May 6, NYC Small Business Services (SBS) celebrated the third annual "Business Improvement District (BID) Day" by visiting several of the city’s 76 BIDs, including Long Island City’s newly expanded BID. SBS Commissioner Dynishal Gross and staff members Zaxx Abraham, Destany Batista, and Morgan Geraghty toured several local businesses, including Lucky Pizzeria, 929, Chef Papa, Dun Huang, and Coffee Project, to hear directly from business owners. They also observed the streetscape and discussed upcoming plans for the neighborhood with our team. We thank Commissioner Gross and her team for their time and continued support.

On Monday, the New York City Economic Development Corporation released a Request for Information to solicit ideas regarding the potential redevelopment of the New York City Public Schools building at 44-36 Vernon Boulevard in Long Island City.
