• Know Your canopy needs – Your table size helps dictate what size umbrella you need. Here is a quick guide:
• Table = 30-36 inches — Umbrella = 6-8 feet
• Table = 38-48 inches — Umbrella = 9-11 feet
• Table = 54-60 inches — Umbrella 11 feet or larger

• Base weight – The umbrella’s base must be heavy enough to keep the umbrella stable and secure. The weight of the base should be proportional to the size of the umbrella, so the heavier the umbrella, the heavier the base should be.

• Ventilation – While it may seem odd to consider ventilation when getting an outdoor umbrella, it is a factor that can influence the user experience. Ventilation is important because it helps keep the canopy cool and provides airflow around the umbrella. The canopy can become too hot and uncomfortable to use without sufficient ventilation.
