NOW | Rodney Mott New Works

Exhibit of works reimagined into sculptures by renowned artist Rodney Mott. The materials have quite a story: After years of putting together a large, historic collection of ceramics, a wildfire jumped the creek and Ken Underwood's home and entire collection was reduced to ashes and shards.

"The shattered pieces seemed perfect for the new work I was creating." said Mott.

See this special exhibit of renewal and collaboration now through Sept 30 - before Rodney Mott moves from Placer County to France - at Auburn City Hall and Art the Auburn Art Walk Aug 8. Watch for more of this story: placerarts.org
