What’s New with Knight Time Flex?
Knight Time Flex takes the best parts of our existing program and elevates them to better meet the needs of our students and teachers:
- Monday–Thursday: Standard Knight Time with Flexibility
Students will continue to report to their assigned Knight Time classrooms, maintaining the structure and routine they’re used to. However, FlexiSched allows teachers to “pull” students into their sessions as needed for academic support, small-group tutoring or a standard study hall with their teacher to address questions or provide feedback.
This targeted approach ensures that students receive the support they need in real-time, improving academic outcomes and reducing stress.
- Friday Flex: Student Choice and Enrichment
Fridays introduce a brand-new layer of flexibility. Through FlexiSched, students can choose from a variety of offerings based on their needs and interests. These offerings include:
- Academic study halls/support
- LNC BluePrint: College and career readiness activities (like college application help or career speaker sessions)
- Club meetings/activities
- Enrichment sessions, such as physical activities or special interest workshops
This allows students to take ownership of their learning while exploring new opportunities that align with their passions and goals.
