Buying pet food can be scary and it shouldn’t be. We’ll talk about what’s good and bad for your pet. If you have a senior pet at home, there can be challenges. Mark Rodgers, guest service attendant

For Mark Rodgers, being a Guest Services Attendant/Over night shift at Second Home Pet Resort brings joy. From evening feedings and cleaning suites and yards to exercising the dogs, it’s all in a night’s work. Mark previously was an x-ray technician, but he left the field to fulfill his passion with dogs. “Now I go home happy,” he said. “It’s like a dream job.”

His love for animals started as a baby. He currently has his own dogs as well as the ones his father brought when he moved in.

Mark started at Second Home in January 2018 and never looked back on his former career. “I love working with dogs in general and being able to see the rescues transform from not being able to touch them to being able to touch and leash them, and then walk them and play with them,” Mark said.
 
Everyone at Second Home is either a dog or cat person, according to Mark. “We treat all the pets as if they are our own,” he said, adding that everyone knows the pets by their names. “We take notes and pay attention to individual needs and we meet those needs. We go above and beyond.”
