Good News Church Family & Friends,
Great news... We gain an hour of sleep this weekend! Don't forget to turn back your clocks (if you still do that manually). The kids will be out trick or treating on Saturday night, so the extra hour should be helpful, come Sunday morning. :)
Whether you recognize Halloween or not, the truth is that, as we're trying to connect with and share the love of Christ with our neighbors, Halloween is always a great time to do that! It's the only time of the year that neighbors and families get out of their houses and knock on each other's doors. It's pretty amazing, if you stop and think about it. So, why not take advantage of this great opportunity and make yourself available?
Offer the best candy on the block, set chairs out with cold drinks for parents to take a break (if needed), invite neighbors over to hang out while trick or treaters drop by, etc. Make it a point to introduce yourself, find out people's names, where they live, etc., and invite God to bless the evening. Who knows? You might make some new friends, and you might be able to provide hope or say a prayer for someone in need.

If you missed any of the previous messages in Romans, we'd encourage you to catch up and keep up from week to week in this series. Romans is a life-changing book worth prioritizing in your daily / weekly schedule.
We're encouraging everyone to read ahead each Sunday because it will be helpful to be somewhat familiar with the text before the sermon message. So, for this Sunday, November 1, your pre-Sunday reading is Romans 7.

INSPIRATION
Verse of the Week

VISION, MISSION & VALUES
The vision of Good News Church GA is "to experience and express LOVE from God to others" The verse that undergirds our vision is Galatians 5:6b, “The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."
The mission of Good News Church GA is "to connect with people and build relationships through community workshops, neighborhood-focused ministry, serving local needs, mentoring, and worship."
We value people, community, relationships, prayer, and Bible reading. We also value being able to be yourself. We’re all struggling with something, so there’s no need to pretend that we have it all together.

HALLOWEEN TRIVIA ANSWER
The holiday observed by the Church on October 31 is... Reformation Day, which is the day in 1517 that the Catholic Monk, Martin Luther, nailed his 95 Theses (i.e., concerns) to the front door of the Church in Wittenberg, Germany. To access the wealth of interesting resources compiled by Drue (i.e., "Luther" free movie link, "A Visit from Martin Luther" script, and more), click here.
