The Knishes Are Coming - Oy Vey!!

Is Your Financial House Ready?

Labor Day weekend is another telltale sign that summer is winding down, and fall is right around the corner. It's also when Marc starts placing orders for potato latkes & knishes, and hyping "The Grid" as it begins filling up with volunteers for the B'nai B'rith Booth at the Topsfield Fair. That's right, the Topsfield Fair is just 28 days away, and for many, it's a great reminder to revisit your financial house and prepare for a year-end financial check-up!

Before pumpkin spice season fills the air, take a few minutes to make sure your finances are on track. It's the perfect time to review your retirement contributions, update beneficiary designations, check for forgotten accounts, and make sure you won't be blindsided by an unexpected tax bill next April. A little attention now can save a lot of stress later.

And for those who aren't already clients, allow us to offer a second opinion, we're always happy to help. After all, financial planning is a lot more fun than working a shift at the Booth... or at least that's what Marc keeps saying!

Rhinestones, Wisdom, & a Life Well-Lived

Don't Retire Your Sparkle

If anyone ever figured out how to work 9 to 5 and still sparkle 24/7, it was Dolly Parton. Dolly spent 80 years proving that age is just a number, rhinestones are always in style, and your dreams don't come with an expiration date. She may have started with a Coat of Many Colors, but she built a legacy worth more than a mountain of sequins, reminding us that true wealth isn't just what you accumulate, it's the people you lift up along the way.

Dolly never let life tell her to sit down and be quiet. Instead, she said, "Here You Come Again" to new adventures, new businesses, new causes, and new ways to make the world brighter. Whether she was writing songs, giving away books, or helping families in need, she understood that the best returns come from investing in others.

So, here's our financial planning takeaway from the Queen of Country: don't put all your sparkle in a retirement account and just let it sit there for later. Wear the sequins, chase the dream, try something new, and let your light shine at every age. Because if Dolly taught us anything, it's that life is always worth a little extra glitter, and you're never too old to be the star of your own show.

The Financial Planning Lesson Dolly Never Actually Gave, but Absolutely Lived.
