Melicia's Story

Dr. Prescod has been a strong advocate for teachers in Palm Beach, providing support and guidance both professionally and personally. I was a first-time educator in Palm Beach when I met Dr. Prescod, and throughout my time getting to know her both professionally and personally, she is the one I trust to take over as CTA president. From making sure I had what I needed to excel in the classroom, providing support during parent conferences, to making sure that we all knew our rights as educators. She is knowledgeable about the policies and procedures in the school district, and has been willing to listen to concerns and work to find solutions. She has made it her priority to keep the educators' best interests in mind during challenging times, and has been a constant champion for the rights and well-being of teachers. She is an excellent example of a dedicated and compassionate representative, and is highly recommended to take over as CTA President.

Retha has a real talent for being dedicated to her position. She takes her job very seriously and is always there for everyone! Retha is very motivated and a constant professional who helps to assist with everything that is needed. When you are facing a challenge, she gives you explanations and helps simplify the process so that you can understand. She helps teachers and goes above and beyond by being there for them every step of the way. I highly recommend Retha for the Classroom Teachers Association President position.
