PS Take a read of the stunning miracles below:
Our team were reaching out to the people of Busoni in Kirundo, who were seemingly quite resistant until they came to a deaf/dumb man called Kinuma. He'd been in that condition from birth. Everybody knew him. The evangelists prayed for him, he was healed, and began to speak. Word got around the community and a crowd gathered. Our guys made the most of it, preached the gospel, and 120 people gave their lives to Christ on the spot. The team were crazy with joy, praise the Lord!
A couple involved in witchcraft and suspected of being sorcerers were visited by a team at 5am. Our people shared the good news with them, answering lots of their questions, and the couple ended up giving their lives to Christ. Filled with joy, they started immediately witnessing to their neighbours, and 31 more people decided to follow Christ, many with tears. Our team are spending further time discipling them.
Bururi province is a historically ‘religious’ and therefore quite resistant area. But in Kiremba one of our teams met a family whose 7-year-old girl was blind, crippled, and her tongue hung limply outside her mouth, so she was unable to speak. They washed her and prayed for her, whereupon she immediately got her sight back, began speaking, and was able to walk. The whole village ran to see the miracle. Her family and 25 others in the village gave their lives to Christ.
At Busoni, where earlier in the week the deaf/dumb man was healed, two of our groups were seriously beaten up by the sons of witchdoctors who saw them as a threat to their business. We are trying to encourage them. Pray for their perseverance. The enemy is obviously not happy with all the fruit taking place.
Our team found a vagrant madman under a tree. He couldn’t speak at all. They prayed for him and he was healed, in his right mind now and able to speak. When his family members heard he was no longer mad and running naked in the streets, they gave our team all the objects of witchcraft they’d used to try to set him free, and made a fire to burn them all, at which point the family gave their lives to Christ as well.
Karenzo, a young child, had lain paralysed in bed for two years. The evangelists prayed for him and he was healed. All his family and neighbours immediately gave their lives to Christ, and the miracle opened up the whole village to welcoming the team in to minister to them.
At Giheta, two of our team were arrested as they preached, and thrown into prison. Whilst in their cell, they preached their hearts out and led four fellow prisoners to Christ. They got to meet the head of police and other senior dignitaries. Once it was established they hadn’t committed any crime, they were released and continued to preach further to a large crowd who were all the more impacted by their willingness to suffer for what they believed, and a large number responded.
17-year-old Aristide from Cibitoke was pronounced dead by the doctor, who withdrew the drip and covered his body with a sheet. The mother started weeping hysterically, and her cries drew the attention of our team nearby. One of them came rushing in, and felt led to claim his life back from the dead. After praying over the corpse, Aristide started breathing again, and he and his mother promptly gave their lives to the Lord, along with another forty one people who witnessed or heard about what happened.
