New: Communication from Teachers
We want to serve Xavier families and answer your questions and concerns. We aim to respond to emails and calls within 24 hours. It is also important that Xavier teachers and staff are able to maintain family time and home life.

As a school we will be working to honor time when we are “off”. We thank you for understanding that when families or students contact us in the evenings or on the weekends, you can expect we will respond in the morning or when we return on Monday.

Here is research to support the work and personal life here at Xavier. Just like Xavier teachers, we encourage you to consider your own balance!

  • Study: Technology is compromising the health and well-being of teachers, blurring the boundaries between work and home and leading to an “always on” mentality.
  • Teacher Email Use: The average teacher receives up to 100 emails each day, a staggering amount that can feel insurmountable—and the pressure to reply quickly can feel irresistible.
  • Article: "It’s not technology that’s the problem—it’s that technology erodes the boundaries... technology creates enormous efficiencies and is here to stay, but it must be carefully managed.”
