The Sixth Sunday of Easter, May 25

O God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as surpass our understanding: Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Lectionary Study Tuesdays at 9am

It seems many would like to know more about how the Episcopal Church understands Holy Scripture, and what scripture has to do with our ordinary daily lives. Bruton’s Tuesday morning lectionary seminar, led by the Rev. Steven Woolley, offers an opportunity for a deep dive into scripture, congenial conversation, and a little levity. Please join us in the parish house library each Tuesday morning from 9-10 am where we promise to start and end on time. This lectionary study will not be held on Tuesdays, June 3 & 10.

Realm Help

Realm is the program we will eventually be using for future communication, membership, giving history, directory, and more. For assistance in setting up your account, please send an email to Realm@brutonparish.org or Margaret Driscoll at mdriscoll@brutonparish.org or 757-345-2256.

Be alert to impersonation scams

These are emails or text messages that may come to you from scammers. They pretend to be a business, a person you know, or a member of the Bruton staff. An email that comes from an email address other than @brutonparish.org is not a legitimate communication from Bruton Parish Church. The rector will never email asking if you will do him a favor or buy gift cards. If you have any doubt about a text or email, please contact the parish office for clarification.
