SHABBOS MEVORCHIM
This is Shabbos Mevorchim Chodesh Kislev. Rosh Chodesh is two days, this Tuesday and Wednesday. Shacharis in the middle minyan both days will be at 6:45am.
EARLIER SHABBOS SHACHARIS
Because of the time change, the latest time for Shema (according to the Gra) this Shabbos is 8:58am. Ideally, the Mishnah Berurah says we should try to finish all three paragraphs of Shema (within the context of the Shacharis davening) by this time. Therefore, we will begin Shacharis much earlier this week at 8:15am. We will start Shochen Ad at 8:43am, meaning that Pesukei D’Zimra will be a little faster than usual.
Also because of the time change, Chatzos (Halachic midday) is 11:37am this Shabbos. One should endeavor to make Kiddush before that time. Those who will not be attending the LINK Kiddush should bear this in mind.
AVOS U’BANIM
This Motzei Shabbos will be the first Avos U’Banim learning program of this season. It starts at 7:00pm at Magen Avot (YULA Girls School) 1619 S. Robertson Blvd. All fathers and sons are encouraged to attend, and raffle prizes will be distributed.
