Topic: Sizing Domestic Hot Water Recirculation Pumps
We are still in the right mind of washing our hands across the country. Let's make sure we do it with warm, soapy water (emphasis on warm!)
Too big, too small or, just right?
When you guess at sizing a domestic hot water recirculation pump, those are your three options, and two of them aren't good. Too small and your customer doesn't get what they're paying for. If it's too big they'll get fast hot water delivery, but there's a better than 50-50 chance their plumbing will develop pinhole leaks sooner rather than later. There's no more guessing. You'll be able to give your customer the right product for their needs at the right price for their budget.

The Garden State Chapter met last month at Libretti's Restaurant to hear from Vinnie Ventura of Venco Sales. With Covid and IAQ being in the forefront of homeowners’ minds, Vinnie presented the Resideo AirCycle program which is a device that service techs or sales people can bring into a home that will sample the air in the house and generate a report in 30 minutes. It addresses Carbon Monoxide, Carbon Dioxide, Temperature, Particle, Humidity, Odors & Smells in the home and offers solutions that can be presented to the homeowner.
The 20 attendees, including five service techs, enjoyed a great presentation, great food and, of course, great company.

Message from the Executive Director
|
Planning for the Eastern Energy Expo Education Summit is in full swing. By now, hopefully you have all heard the news that we will be unable to host a live show this year. The growing situation with COVID-19 makes it impossible for a group of our magnitude to gather.
The Education Summit will take place online May 24-26, 2021 – free for attendees – and will feature the same high-quality educational programming that all have come to expect from OESP.
Sponsorship opportunities will be available soon with many ways that your companies can benefit from being part of the action.
On another note, OESP membership dues invoices have now been sent out, twice by email and once by mail for those without emails in our system. For ease and convenience, you do not need to log in to process your dues. Simply click the link and pay online.
If you are ever unsure of the authenticity of an email from OESP, please contact Association HQ to inquire. We are happy to check for you, verifying before you click. If you have an issue retrieving your invoice, please let us know and we will resend.
Do you have a friend or colleague who would benefit from membership in OESP? Bring them along to meeting! This is our busy season, but it is also the season that training is more important than ever. Our mission is education and we are always looking to grow our great association and educate the next generation.
The date for the Spring Board of Director’s meeting has been set for Saturday, March 13 at 10 a.m. We will once again be holding this meeting virtually out of an abundance of caution.
The May meeting will take place in conjunction with the Eastern Energy Expo Education Summit. Details will be forthcoming. We sincerely hope to plan an in-person fall Oilheat Retreat and we will let you know as details become available.
OESP is always looking for people who are interested in making a difference in their career and this great association. One of the ways is by providing networking opportunities to help grow your business.
Everyone wants to work with people they know and trust, so get involved in your local chapter and experience the difference it will make for you. Please contact OESP HQ or your local chapter president to learn how you can make a bigger difference.
As we look forward to 2022, I would also like to draw your attention to the corporate members that keep OESP afloat. It is companies like these that provide speakers for chapter meetings, donate generously to Oil Heat Cares and serve on the local chapter boards around our region. The next time you are looking to do business, check our list of corporate members and consider supporting them to thank them for their involvement in OESP. Click HERE for the list, available on our website.
And speaking of supporters, we would like to thank our loyal and generous advertisers for their support in 2020. Beckett, Taco, Suntec Industries, Wohler, Sid Harvey, General Filters, Roth, Weil-McLain, and Carlin/Hydrolevel.
Your company could be in the next issue of the OESP News. Contact us to find out how.
On behalf of Jonathan Jaffe, Meredith Levy and the rest of the OESP management team, it continues to be a pleasure to serve the association. Our very best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous holiday season. Stay warm.
