Student Spotlight

Each month we highlight a student whose faith has been strengthened through the Newman Center. This month, we are grateful to feature Julia.

Julia Erwin is a freshman at NDSU. She is from Little Falls, MN and is studying Interior Design! In asking Julia what her favorite thing about the Newman Center is, here's what she wanted to share with you:

"The Newman Center has given me a comforting community that I couldn’t find anywhere else. Not only do they welcome me, they support me when I need it and have no one else. I was unsure if I would be able to go to SEEK this year, but they made it possible and my life has since been forever changed. I’ll always be grateful to the Newman Center for giving me a place to go back to time and again!"

bisonCatholic Week Recap

This week was bisonCatholic Week, a major highlight of the spring semester! Students enjoyed many different activities, including mass with Bishop Folda, annual talent show, broomball, keynote talks from Bishop Cozzens and Kelly Wahlquist, a movie night featuring Triumph of the Heart, poker night, and the formal dinner and dance.

Over winter break, roughly 100 students attended the SEEK Conference in Columbus, OH. Conference attendees were able to hear from speakers such as Fr. Mike Schmitz, Dr. Edward Sri, and Jeff Cavins.

Countless students experienced extraordinary graces while at SEEK and have come back with a renewed sense of God's love and mercy. Please join us in prayer for these students that they may continue to share these graces with many others on the campus of NDSU and beyond.

Newman Living Housing Expansion

The Newman Center is excited to share we've recently purchased the View to acquire additional faith-based housing! This expansion allows the Newman Center to expand our mission and allow more students the opportunity to live in a faith-based community.
