Harvest and Honors

Every year, just prior to the cranberry harvest season kicking off, the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers’ Association (CCCGA) holds their annual meeting. This August marked the 138th gathering, where two of our own were recognized for their remarkable dedication to the Association and the cranberry industry.

George Rogers, recipient of the Heritage Award, was recognized for his 50 years of commitment to the industry, while Glenn Reid was honored for his leadership on the Frost Committee and his years of service on many other CCCGA committees. Both awards presentations were made by John Mason, current president of the CCCGA Board of Directors.

As the harvest season gets underway, you'll find plenty of opportunities to celebrate that little red berry! There are several tours, events, dinners, and markets selling fresh fruit. Visit the CCCGA link below for a full list of upcoming festivities.
