As we close another extraordinary chapter in the work of advancing

educational excellence, equity, leadership, and advocacy across the

Midwest, I am filled with tremendous pride and gratitude reflecting

upon the overwhelming success of the 12th Annual NABSE Midwest

Regional Education Conference held at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris.

This year’s conference was far more than an event — it was a powerful movement of educators, school leaders, students, corporate partners, parents, advocates, and community stakeholders coming together with a shared commitment to empowering excellence in public education.

Over the course of three inspiring days, attendees engaged in

transformational learning experiences through our Opening and Closing Plenary Sessions, Master Classes, Aspiring Superintendent and Aspiring Principal Seminars, Superintendent Symposium, OTLAP Teacher-Leader Ambassador Symposium, Parent Summit, networking receptions, and dozens of dynamic professional development workshops designed to strengthen educational leadership and student achievement across our region and nation.

On behalf of OABSE and the NABSE Midwest Regional Council, I extend our deepest appreciation to our incredible corporate sponsors and partners whose financial support, collaborative spirit, and unwavering belief in our mission made this conference possible. Your investment in educators and students throughout the Midwest continues to create meaningful opportunities for innovation, leadership development, and systemic impact in public education.

We are equally grateful to our distinguished keynote speakers,

presenters, facilitators, and thought leaders who challenged us

intellectually, inspired us spiritually, and equipped us professionally.

Special thanks to Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Dr. Chike Akua, and Principal Amen Rahh for delivering unforgettable keynote experiences that energized and uplifted conference attendees throughout the week.

Your voices reminded us of the urgency and importance of our

collective work in this critical moment for public education.

A special thank you is also extended to the many workshop presenters, master class facilitators, panelists, and symposium leaders who shared their expertise, best practices, and visionary leadership with conference participants. The depth and quality of professional learning experiences offered this year were truly exceptional.

One of the highlights of the conference was the incredible student

talent performances that brought joy, inspiration, culture, and artistic

excellence to our gathering. Our students reminded us why we do this

work every single day. Their brilliance, creativity, and promise

represent the future of our communities and our nation.

I also want to congratulate the outstanding principals, administrators,

and educational leaders recognized during our Annual Awards Banquet.

Your leadership, service, innovation, and commitment to children

continue to transform schools and communities throughout the

Midwest Region. We celebrate your accomplishments and thank you

for your steadfast dedication to educational excellence.

In addition, congratulations to our remarkable student honorees and

scholarship recipients recognized during the conference. NABSE

Midwest remains deeply committed to investing in the next generation

of leaders, scholars, educators, and professionals. We are proud to

support these talented young people through scholarship awards that

will assist them in pursuing their educational dreams and aspirations.

No conference of this magnitude happens without extraordinary

leadership and tireless behind-the-scenes work. I offer sincere

appreciation to our Conference Planning Team and especially our

Conference Co-Chairs for their countless hours of preparation,

coordination, problem-solving, and leadership. Your dedication ensured a first-class experience for every attendee and reflected the excellence that defines NABSE Midwest.

Thank you as well to our exhibitors and vendors who showcased

valuable resources, services, programs, and opportunities that support educators, schools, and students across the region. Your participation added tremendous value to the overall conference experience.

Finally, to every attendee who traveled from across Ohio and

throughout the Midwest to participate in this year’s conference —

thank you. Your presence, engagement, energy, and commitment to

professional growth helped make this conference one of the most

impactful in our history. Together, we continue building a powerful

network of educational leaders committed to advocacy, excellence, and opportunity for all children.

As we celebrate the success of this year’s conference, I encourage

everyone to revisit and enjoy the many memories captured throughout

the event. Please visit the NABSE Midwest YouTube channel and social media platforms to view conference photos, keynote highlights, student performances, interviews, and video clips for your leisure viewing and enjoyment. These moments reflect the spirit, excellence, fellowship, and purpose that define NABSE Midwest.

Thank you for your continued support of OABSE and NABSE Midwest. The work continues, and together, we will continue advancing educational excellence, leadership, and equity throughout our communities.
