This year, we are honored to welcome Lisa Holland as our keynote speaker. Lisa is the President and CEO of Sheltair, the largest privately held aviation real estate and FBO company in the U.S. As a visionary leader and philanthropist, she is deeply committed to inspiring positive change. Her work with organizations such as the Blue Lightning Initiative, Pilots N Paws, and St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital showcases her passion for community impact. She is also the driving force behind Sheltair’s Girls in Aviation Day, empowering the next generation of aviation professionals. Lisa’s leadership and dedication to service will inspire us as we embark on another year of collective giving.

Sandhill Cove Dinner

Sandhill Cove members gathered for a lovely dinner this week, with 16 of the 21 Impact100 Martin members in attendance. Many were delighted to discover which of their neighbors are also members, and the evening was filled with laughter, conversation, and connection. Held in the community’s private dining room, the gathering was a wonderful reminder of the power of shared purpose at every stage of life.

Hobe Sound Ladies Networking Group

Sue Whittington and Judy Zanchi represented Impact100 Martin as guest speakers at the Hobe Sound Ladies Networking Group hosted at Palm and Restaurant and organized by the President of the group, Chrissy Crago. About 20 women attended and many expressed interest in joining us at our Season 9 Kickoff to learn more about Impact100 Martin and the power of collective giving.

Thank you to Calloway Houtenbos, Sarah Murphy, and Stephanie Gardner for representing Impact100 Martin at the event.

American Business Women’s Day with Young Professionals of Martin County (YPMC)

Impact100 Martin had the pleasure of participating in the American Business Women’s Day event hosted by the Young Professionals of Martin County. The event celebrated women-owned businesses from across the Treasure Coast and was filled with great food, fun, and friendship.

As part of the celebration, we were thrilled to raffle off an Impact100 Martin membership, which was generously gifted by Calloway. This wonderful donation helps us continue to grow our community of women creating positive, lasting change.

Don't miss the opportunity to see the Impact100 Martin transformational grants at work.

Join us to visit Banner Lake and Project LIFT to hear firsthand the difference your donation to Impact100 made for these two projects and the people they serve.

Families that collaborate and co-invest tend to have more success by working together. When a family has numerous members with diverse motivations and abilities, along with significant wealth and multifaceted businesses and projects, challenges are inherent. We have the pleasure of having in Impact100 a woman who knows how to assist these affluent one-percenters.  A Vanderbilt graduate who began her career as a teacher, Sara Hamilton transitioned into educational policy, then joined AT&T at the onset of the personal computer revolution. Later, she worked for Harris Bank, where her job evolved into a specialty: advising families with high liquidity. In 1989, Sara recognized that these multi-generational familial enterprises needed not just wealth management and financial advice, but a broader, holistic approach. She then founded her own company, Family Office Exchange (FOX).  FOX serves as a clearinghouse and community for over 300 families across 20 countries, supporting individuals who wish to share best practices.  Subsequently, Sara realized that the effective administration of assets required the development of shared foundational values and vision, as well as education about family governance. She then expanded her approach to include not only advice about balancing desires in interpersonal relationships but also instructing and guiding the stewards of the next generation.

This past June, Sara successfully transitioned leadership of her company to her son, Nate. Fortunately for us, this move has allowed her to become more active within Impact100.  Sara now co-chairs the “downtown group,” and will be hosting an Impactful Conversations program on November 19th with Roseanne Wolcott on Eldercare.

Featured Event

Impactful Conversations is an initiative of Impact100 Martin that educates members about the most pressing community challenges in five focus areas and helps guide funding toward meaningful solutions.

Impact of Elder Care Transition

Aging and memory loss affect many families in Martin County. This program will provide members with essential knowledge and resources to prepare for dementia-related challenges and understand the broader community needs.

Key Takeaways:

  • Learn the difference between normal aging and significant memory loss
  • Discover support services from the Council on Aging and other local resources
  • Understand legal needs, including elder law, Medicaid, and long-term care planning
  • Get practical tips and tricks for caregivers
  • Receive a legal and medical planning checklist

Moderated by Karen Ripper, CEO, Council on Aging of Martin County, the event features a panel of experts to help families navigate elder care with confidence, dignity, and respect.

Join us via livestream for the fifth annual Global Day of Impact, hosted by Impact100 Southern Indiana! This virtual celebration honors the transformative work of chapters around the world.

Let’s come together to celebrate the power of the Impact100 Community. Register at impact100global.org/events

Since relocating to the Treasure Coast in 2015 from Atlanta, Georgia, Allison Prause has been looking for a way to impact the community. Her journey has been defined by a passion for service, a commitment to growth, and a deep dedication to her neighbors. Today, as a key team member at Palm City Eye Care, she plays an integral role in shaping both the practice's future and the community's wellbeing.

Allison has always been driven by a desire to serve the public. After settling into this area, she found that calling when she joined Palm City Eye Care in 2019. In just five years, she has been instrumental in helping the practice triple in size, thanks to her unwavering belief in Dr. Davis' vision for a small-town atmosphere paired with professionalism and innovation. The practice's motto, “Seeing our community as neighbors, treating our patients like family,” reflects this philosophy and has become the foundation of their success.

Some of the non profits in the area for which the practice regularly volunteers their time and resources are The Children’s Museum, Cayuga Centers and The Humane Society of theTreasure Coast. Palm City Eye Care is able to access these and other deserving channels, in part due to their membership in the Young Professionals of Martin County, the Palm City Chamber of Commerce, the Business Associates of Martin and The Stuart Sunrise Rotary Club.

Palm City Eye Care offers a range of specialized services, from board certified optometrists to advanced in-house procedures, all while maintaining a personalized, intimate approach that makes each patient feel like part of the family. The practice’s attention to detail and dedication to providing the highest quality of care has earned Palm City Eye Care a reputation as a cornerstone of the local healthcare community. A reputation which Dr. Davis takes great pride in.

It is our hope that our sponsorship of Impact100 will continue to be a positive driving force for change in the lives of our fellow community members.
