Introducing the Zebra TC52x-HC
The Ultimate Touch Computer for Healthcare
Zebra Technologies just announced the public availability of the new TC52x-HC mobile computer for healthcare. Following the highly successful TC52-HC, this third generation product has been designed specifically for nurses and other healthcare professionals.
So what's the "x" factor?
Five new features make this product the world's best mobile computer for healthcare:
1. Hot Swap Batteries
Even with a 14 hour battery life, you may find that you need to change batteries at a critical time. The new hot swap feature allows a user to easily change batteries while maintaining WiFi connectivity and keeping logged in with apps running.
2. Advanced Scan Engine with White/Green Illumination
The new integrated barcode imager delivers faster scanning on a variety of uneven surfaces, from wristbands to blood bags. In addition, Zebra has introduced a white illumination with a green aimer (instead of the traditional red illumination) based on requests from the healthcare community for more patient friendly scanning. This will be most appreciated by healthcare workers in newborn intensive care units or long-term care units housing patients with PTSD.
3. Large 5-inch Full High Definition Screen
Whether viewing patient records, surgery photos, or detailed instructions, it is important to see every detail. So Zebra has outfitted the TC52x-HC with a large 5-inch full high definition 1920 x 1080 display. Like its predecessor, the device accepts gloved and wet fingertip input.
4. Programmable Red Duress Button
Double pressing of the red programmable button on the back of the device wakes up the device and makes a call or launches an app for rapid response to emergencies.
5. Fastest Processor in the Industry
Zebra is the first in the market with the 2.45 GHz quad-core Qualcomm SD660 CPU. It also comes equipped with Universal Flash Memory (UFM). This means your mobile applications will see a significant performance improvement, including electronic health record (EHR) applications, voice communications and more.
