Bread Baking Adventure

There is something sacred about sharing bread we made with our own hands. Tomorrow - Saturday, October 3 (9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.) in the Seminary, bakers and taste testers of all ages are invited to a special morning of fellowship and baking with Pastor Lawrence. As we prepare the loaves that will grace our Communion table for World Communion Sunday, we’ll celebrate the simple ingredients that connect us to Christ, the Bread of Life.

Click here to register today to reserve your spot at the table for you or your family!

There is a Seat for All at The Table

Food For Thought

Miami University students and college-aged young adults are invited to join our small group, Food for Thought, this Sunday following our worship service. We will meet right after worship service in the Molyneaux Room for fellowship and then walk uptown for lunch (OPC’s treat) and a meaningful time of fellowship and discussion.

If you have any questions, please contact Gordon Adams, Christian Education Coordinator for OPC.

Fellowship Host

Hosting fellowship after church provides a valuable service to the congregation and is a great way to meet friends, old and new. Plus, it’s not a lot of work - you just need to pour drinks and greet people. Snacks are appreciated but not required. We have a need for hosts on Sunday, October 25. Also on Sundays November 1, 8, 15 and 22.

Secret tip - OPC kids love healthy snacks.

We Are Seeking A Custodian

As our ministry continues to grow and flourish, we are continually reminded that every single role on our team helps make God’s good news visible. We are actively seeking a part-time custodian (paid up to 15 hours/week) who brings both a hard-working spirit and a pleasant, warm heart to our congregational life. From prepping spaces for Sunday mornings to keeping our common areas well-maintained, you’ll be an essential part of the ministry that keeps our mission moving forward. If you are curious about how your gifts - or someone you know - may build up our church family, reach out to Pastor Lawrence or the church office today!

Together we can and we will!

Together We Can...

Seeking God means many things, including choosing a life of love and service. OPC’s history is sharing her love and bountiful resources with others. Let’s bring that history into our future as well, whether you decide to be “active” or “unseen;” to donate financial resources and/or volunteer your time or share your talents and skills. Planning for the future is happening now, so now is the time to contribute your “piece” to complete the picture of OPC.

Your Stewardship Matters

Bread for myself is a material question.

Bread for my neighbor is a spiritual one.

Living into Hope

When we break the bread together,

we proclaim that God’s love is not

a scarce commodity to be guarded,

but an endless feast to be shared

across every border and boundary.
