District 65 is beginning conversations about the potential need for school closures or consolidations as part of efforts to ensure long-term financial sustainability and equity. Our goal is to ensure a vibrant, bright future for all District 65 students now and for generations to come.

We are committed to a transparent process that invites input from all stakeholders. Thank you to the hundreds of community members and staff who attended an in-person session or responded to our online survey in the last two weeks. It was truly impressive to see so many people willing to share their time and ideas as we shape the future of D65, together.

Meeting resources

If you were unable to attend an in-person session, I encourage you to check out the presentations in English or in Spanish as well as a recorded version of the presentation. The meeting summaries for each session will be available on our Structural Deficit Reduction Plan (SDRP) webpage soon.

We're having coffee and you're invited! Superintendent Dr. Angel Turner and members of her team are hosting two upcoming sessions as an informal way to connect with members of the D65 community. These sessions are meant to complement the community meetings already held this month regarding school closure/consolidation criteria.
