The CPSA thanks the Western team (Cameron Anderson, co-editor; Christopher Alcantara and Nandita Biswas Mellamphy, assistant editors; and Martin Horak, book review editor) for all their hard work and dedication to the CJPS during their term at the helm of the English-language editorship. They operated during the difficult context of the pandemic and managed to significantly increase the impact factor of the Journal. Their initiatives, such as Currents and the podcast, gave a new jolt of energy to the CJPS. The CPSA is grateful for all their efforts.

L' ACSP remercie l'équipe de Western (Cameron Anderson, codirecteur, Christopher Alcantara et Nandita Biswas Mellamphy, directeurs adjoints, et Martin Horak, responsable des recensions) pour leur travail acharné et leur dévouement à la RCSP pendant leur mandat à la barre de la publication en langue anglaise. Ils ont travaillé dans le contexte difficile de la pandémie et sont parvenus à augmenter de manière significative le facteur d'impact de la revue. Leurs nouvelles initiatives, tels que les affaires saillantes et les balados ont donné un nouveau souffle à la revue. L’ ACSP leur est reconnaissante pour tous leurs efforts.

2023 CPSA Pre-Conference EDID Workshop
York University

Sunday, May 28 - DAY 1
Monday, May 29 - DAY 2
The workshop is co-organized by three CPSA Board Members: Rebecca Major (Windsor), Nicole De Silva (Concordia), and Ethel Tungohan (York). It will include expert speakers on EDID and breakout group discussions, and will take place at York University over two days: Sunday, May 28 (Day 1) and Monday, May 29 (Day 2).

This workshop aims to foster safe and brave spaces for Indigenous and racialized scholars in Canadian political science.
Attendance on Day 1 will be limited to Indigenous and racialized scholars. This aims to create a space for community-building and open exchanges among Indigenous and racialized scholars.
Day 2 will be open to all (including Day 1 participants).

Share this information with Indigenous and racialized scholars (e.g., PhD students, postdocs, faculty) within your scholarly networks.

There is no additional cost to attend the workshop - participants just need to be registered for the 2023 CPSA conference. (Note: Black and Indigenous students who are CPSA members can register for the 2023 CPSA conference at no charge.) Workshop registration will be on a rolling basis until spots are full, with a deadline of May 15.

L'atelier est organisé conjointement par trois membres du conseil d'administration de l'ACSP : Rebecca Major (Windsor), Nicole De Silva (Concordia) et Ethel Tungohan (York). Il comprendra des interventions d'experts sur l'EDID et des discussions en petits groupes, et se déroulera à la York University sur deux jours, soit le 28 mai (jour 1) et le 29 mai (jour 2).

Cet atelier vise à créer des espaces sûrs et courageux pour les chercheur.se.s autochtones et racisé.e.s dans le domaine de la science politique canadienne. La participation à la première journée sera limitée aux chercheur.se.s autochtones et racisé.e.s. L'objectif est de créer un espace de construction communautaire et d'échanges ouverts entre les chercheur.se.s autochtones et racisé.e.s. La deuxième journée sera ouverte à tous (y compris aux participants de la première journée).
