Event Highlight This Week | |
|
Self-Help for the Elderly Team is thrilled to attend the On Aging 2024 Conference in San Francisco this week and participate in various activities.
The conference week began with an off-site program with Self-Help for the Elderly. Winnie Yu, our Chief Program & Compliance Officer, and Kit Fong, Director of Housing, led a tour to one of the SROs in Chinatown, San Francisco, and a visit to the Lady Shaw Senior Center, our 70-unit HUD, 202 housing on top of the Broadway Tunnel. The event focused on the theme of how older adults' quality of life is improved through their housing options.
On Wednesday, our department directors formed a Self-Help for the Elderly team to present at an innovation and social impact session on the topic: Health and Social Services Organization Provides an Ecosystem of Eldercare in the Bay Area. Our speakers shared with the attendees an overview of our organization's various programs and services and their impact on the quality of life and overall well-being of older adults and their families in the San Francisco Bay Area. During the session, the attendees joined in to discuss innovative and social impact solutions to enhance eldercare in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Special Thanks to the Self-Help Team: Thomas Wong, Charito Aquino, Kifer Hu, Saoleng U, Winnie Yu, Ellen Chiang, Kit Fong, Tony Lio, Gayle Tang, Karen Lam, Kelvin Yu, and Kenneth Liang.
Thank you, the American Society on Aging, for the opportunity.
