'Hares-About-Town' event coming this summer to Southend-On-Sea.
Hares About Town - What's it all about?
Hares About Town is a spectacular 'Wild-In-Art' public event that will weave its way across Southend on Sea this summer.

Hare sculptures, each one individually designed by a different artist, form a free, fun, family-friendly trail of discovery for the Essex public to explore and enjoy!

An app will drive visitors around the trail, with rewards available as each hare's details are 'collected'. Other mini events will be launched, promising great days out for families and all.

You can still be part of this unique event that will raise money for the fabulous Havens Hospices.

When is the event?
The event was originally due to take place in 2020 before the outbreak of Covid. With full restrictions due to be removed during June, the event could not be timed much better.

Meet Our 'Harey Biker'
Our hare for the event is the aptly named Harey Biker, decorated with local landmarks by artist Neil Fendell. www.fendell.co.uk

About Havens Hospices
Havens Hospices is very close to our hearts.

They provide palliative nursing and supportive care to adults and children living with complex or incurable conditions.

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, their hospices remained open to care for patients at the end of their life and they supported the NHS by taking patients in from hospitals to free up beds.

Haven's must raise over £81,000 each week to be there for everyone who needs them.

Funding has become more difficult during the pandemic, therefore the Hare's About Town project is an important part of this year's fund-raising.
