Dear families,
October is here, and there’s a lot happening at The Loft! We’re excited to jump into a brand-new series, share some great nights together, and make plenty of memories along the way. This month is packed with opportunities for students to grow in their faith, deepen friendships, have a ridiculous amount of fun, and continue discovering what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Inside this month’s newsletter, you’ll get a glimpse of what we’ll be exploring together, what’s coming up on the calendar, and a few ways you can keep the conversation going at home. October is going to be a good one, and we can’t wait to experience it with your students!

Get ready for a winter weekend packed with adventure, worship, friendships, and plenty of time on the mountain! The Loft is heading to Winterplace Ski Resort January 15–18, 2027 for our annual Ski Retreat.
Students can choose their own mountain adventure with skiing, snowboarding, or snow tubing. Whether you’ve been hitting the slopes for years or have never strapped on a pair of skis, there’s something for everyone. When we’re not on the mountain, we’ll spend time together at our resort lodging, sharing meals, worshiping, hanging out, and making some great memories.
The trip price includes lift tickets, equipment rentals, lodging, transportation, meals, worship, and a retreat T-shirt. Students will need money for dinner on Friday and lunch on Monday, as those two meals are not included.
Trip Details: January 15–18, 2027 • Winterplace Ski Resort • $50 deposit due at registration • Registration opens October 4, 2026 and closes December 6, 2026 (no exceptions) • Final trip cost will be dependent on package chosen.
Grab your coat, bring your friends, and get ready for a weekend of faith, friends, snow, and adventure!

Appalachia Service Project 2027
Join us July 11–17, 2027 for a week of service, faith, and community with Appalachia Service Project (ASP)!
ASP is about much more than repairing homes. Throughout the week, our team will work alongside families in Appalachian communities to help make homes warmer, safer, and drier. Whether we’re building a ramp, repairing a floor, painting, or tackling another home-repair project, every job gives us an opportunity to serve our neighbors and put our faith into action.
Along the way, we’ll build relationships with the families we serve, grow closer as a team, worship together, and discover how God can use our hands, hearts, and willingness to make a difference. No construction experience is necessary. Come ready to learn, work hard, laugh a lot, and experience one of the most meaningful weeks of the summer.
Trip Details: July 11–17, 2027 • $400 per person • Registration opens October 4, 2026 • $75 deposit due at registration.
Space is limited, so register early and get ready for a week of service, relationships, faith, and memories that will last long after we come home.

REPUTATION: A 4-Week Series from Daniel & the New Testament on Evangelism
SERIES OVERVIEW: When we think about sharing our faith, we think of having a perfect story with all the right words. But we sometimes forget that our actions and the reputations we build can have the biggest impact on others. In this 4-week series from the book of Daniel and the New Testament, we’ll see how Daniel and his friends lived out their faith in a way that pointed people to God. As we learn about the reputation they built, we’ll discover that we can show our faith by doing things God’s way, and we can show our faith together. We’ll also explore how we can show our faith when things get difficult, and we can show our faith consistently.

Parent Resource of the Month
How to Share Your Story With Others
Every person has a story, and our stories can be one of the most powerful ways we share what God is doing in our lives.
This month, we’re encouraging students to think about their own story: where they’ve seen God at work, how their faith has shaped them, and how they can share those experiences with others. They don’t need to have all the answers or some huge, dramatic testimony. Sometimes sharing your story is simply being willing to say, “Here’s what God has done in my life.”
Parents and families play an important role in helping students learn how to talk about their faith. Take a few minutes to watch this video and consider how you can create opportunities at home for your student to share their story.
Try starting a conversation with questions like: Where have you seen God at work lately? What is something God has taught you? Who is someone you could encourage by sharing part of your story?
Our hope is that students discover that their story matters, their faith is worth sharing, and God can use their everyday experiences to make a difference in someone else’s life.

How is being a teenager today different from being a teenager when you were growing up?
Think about it for a minute. Social media, friendships, school pressure, technology, dating, faith, family life, and even how teenagers spend their free time have changed a lot. At the same time, some parts of growing up may not be all that different.
We’d love to hear from our parents and grandparents! What do you think is the biggest difference between being a teenager then and being a teenager today?
