Welcome New Members:

Cindy Alcoset, Jewelry and Ellie Thomas, Oil

As we close out this year with our open small image show, we can only look back and reflect on all of the tumultuous times we have had this year.  Our members should be very proud of how many of you have stepped up financially and physically, helping with the relocation and dealing with all that has come our way. We certainly look forward to a fantastic new year in 2026; with new and on-going programs and a newly renovated gallery space.  We are all volunteers, and we are always in need of you. We hope that you have volunteer fever and join us. It can be a fun and fulfilling experience, and we will have a lot going on in 2026. You can call, email or text me as I am always available for your questions and concerns.

Artists, any checks received in Dec must be cashed by Dec 31 to clear our accounts. (Per our bank's requirement, checks are only valid for 2 months from the issuance date. Checks will not be reissued once the 2 months has passed).

We are looking for more substitute gallery hosts. Substitute hosts are paid for the substituted shift by the member requesting a substitute. Please contact me at (818) 421-7760 if you are interested in becoming a substitute host.

Beginning in 2026, every reception that is scheduled will have a $5 fee in addition to ensure that Monthly Show receptions are covered in costs. As costs rise, we need to adjust as well, so we can remain providing you with these wonderful opportunities to our Members.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

Gertrude

Members Activities/Opportunities

There was plenty of hot chocolate, carols, jingles and cheer at the Holiday Bazaar with COAL/NCAG artists - Jaynce Knight, Cindy Fatica, Joan Hansen, Julie Brooks, Cheryl Ehlers, Nira Levy, Claudia Gray and Peggy Hinaekian. We had so much fun with the public while bringing in over $1135 in sales in support to the gallery, up until 8pm. Sales were up 946% from previous Saturday's accounts and proves that members' participation, attitude, spirit, music and laughter can create the buzz we need for the gallery. It is great publicity which helps everyone, and we are planning on the membership getting more involved as we move into the New Year. Special thanks to CharCee Colosia for her demo in front of the gallery to greet our Bazaar guests.

Do you have news of you're upcoming exhibits, awards, etc. you'd like in Brushmark? Please send all the details in a format ready to be published along with any photos to Cindy. It will be published in the next Brushmark that comes out 2 weeks after receipt of your submission.

We Love Our Volunteers

Kudos and a very special thank you to our members who came out and helped with the take-in and installation for our December Small Image Open Awards Show - Cheryl Ehlers, Gertrude Lewis, Joe Gass, Marleen DuBona, Karen Johnson, Bob Koch, Cindy Fatica, Betty Anne Kreutziger, Karen Burstein, George Garcia, Jarvis Beeler, Scott Bruckner, Dylan Miller, Bill Anderson, Susan Bell, Jean Kelleher, Catherine Zanuccoli, Julie Brooks, Nancy Hackamack. With more than 190 pieces of art entered this was a huge undertaking and we could not have done it without you. Take a look at the action here.

A special thank you to those 13 elves that took 5 hours to make it Holiday Ready on Saturday for everyone; Julie Brooks, Bill Anderson, Gertrude Lewis, Lois Athearn, Susan Bell, John Olvaney, Richard and Christine, Joan Hansen, Ira Cosmos, Bobbie Harrington, Anna Pearson, Kate Strzhk and Cheryl Ehlers. Thank you for your time it was magical! We are so sorry if we didn't get a photo with all of you.
