FISHING FOR VETS TOURNAMENT RECAP

They came, they sponsored, they fished, and they caught – all in support of our veterans.

Last Saturday, our “Fishing for Vets Tournament” took place at South Holston Lake. Despite cold and windy weather, a dedicated group showed up and made the event a success.

Thanks to strong support from donors and participants, the tournament raised meaningful funds that will go directly toward programs for veterans.

We’re proud of what this event accomplished and look forward to building on its success.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT: THE COMMISSIONER'S VISIT

We appreciate Commissioner Daryl Washington of Virginia Dept. of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) spending the morning with us on April 7.

He joined us on a tour of two of our facilities in Wytheville and then sat down to learn more about our 31 licensed services. We also enjoyed hearing his thoughts and insights.

Free Nicotine Cessation Program for Smyth County Residents

Thinking about quitting nicotine? We’re here to help.

Smyth County residents can join our free nicotine cessation program, with options for online or in-person classes to fit your schedule.

Participants will get support from a trained specialist, plus up to three months of nicotine replacement therapy to help along the way.

As an added bonus, you can earn up to $500 in gift cards for attending classes and staying on track.

If you or someone you know is ready to quit, this is a great place to start.
