ASSESSMENT/TAX NOTICE

The Property Assessment Taxation Notices for the Town of Wainwright were mailed on April 30.

A 10% penalty will be applied to taxes outstanding after June 30, 2026.

If you do not receive your Property Assessment Taxation Notice by May 15, 2026 or if you have any questions, please contact the Town Office.

PRE-AUTHORIZED TAX PAYMENT PLAN

Did you know the Town of Wainwright offers a pre-authorized tax payment plan? This is a popular program which allows you to pay your property taxes monthly, instead of one payment in June. 

Each year, property taxes are billed in April, due June 30^th, and cover the period from January 1 to December 31.

With this plan, your property taxes are paid in installments over 12 months, from January to December. Payments are automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the 15^th of each month. 

Your monthly payment amount is calculated by dividing your most recent tax levy by 12. When you receive your annual tax notice in April, your May payment amount will be adjusted to reflect the actual tax levy, ensuring your account is paid in full by the end of the year.

AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

The Town of Wainwright audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025 are now available.

ONLINE BANKING - NEW ACCOUNT NUMBERS

With the transition to our new accounting software, new account numbers were required for tax and utility accounts. Please note that any online banking payments will need to be updated to reflect your new account number.

This applies to both utility accounts and property taxes.



In many cases, your financial institution will remove the Town of Wainwright from your existing payee listing in your online banking.

The timing of this will vary depending on your bank.

Please ensure you re-add the payee and update your account number to avoid any payment delays.
