We are halfway through Compassion Camp, and it has already been such a joyful week! Our church has been filled with lots of laughter, creativity, energy, and, most importantly, compassion.
Throughout the week, the kids are learning what our theme, “Be Loved. Be Kind. Be You.” really means. They are learning that they are deeply loved by God, that they can share that love through kindness and compassion toward others, and that God created each of them to be their own unique and wonderful selves.
Through Bible stories, music, art, games, service projects, and lots of fun, we are finding all kinds of ways to practice these three simple reminders:
-
Be Loved! Know that you are loved just as you are.
-
Be Kind! Look for ways to care for others and show compassion wherever you go.
-
Be You! Celebrate the person God created you to be.
Thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who are giving their time, energy, and love to make this week possible. And thank you to our congregation for supporting this ministry and helping us create a place where our kids know that they are loved, they belong, and they can make a difference in the world. We still have more Compassion Camp fun ahead, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings.
