WHAT VOLUNTEERS CAN EXPECT:

A volunteer shift at Cradles to Crayons connects you to new and gently used donations—beautiful and loved clothing from the community—that you and our group will quality check, sort, package, and prepare to go to kids in our communities through the organization's Service Partners. The Giving Factory activities are broken up into specific stations, each one part of the larger “Quality = Dignity” journey that transforms donations into curated orders for specific children. Throughout your shift you will be led by a Volunteer Leader who will provide instructions and be present with you during the entire shift to answer questions and provide any assistance you may need.

ABOUT CRADLES TO CRAYONS:

Cradles to Crayons is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending clothing insecurity and ensuring that children living in poverty have the everyday essentials they need to thrive. Serving children from birth through age 12 who are experiencing homelessness or living in low-income households, the organization provides clothing, shoes, coats, school supplies, and other necessities free of charge. Through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners, Cradles to Crayons helps remove barriers to learning, play, and healthy development—giving children the opportunity to feel safe, confident, valued, and ready to succeed at home, at school, and in life.
