What If The Most Complex Homicide Cases In Your Community Are The Ones No One Realizes Are Homicides?

Every Family Justice Center exists to bring multidisciplinary partners together to provide wraparound services that support survivors, and pursue justice. Hidden Homicides takes that mission even further.

Join multidisciplinary teams from across the country for the 2026 Hidden Homicides Training at High Peak Camp in Estes Park, Colorado—an immersive experience designed to help leaders recognize overlooked homicide cases, strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration, and bring justice to families.

As Candace Coolidge, Executive Director of the PorchLight Family Justice Center in Lakewood, Colorado, shared after attending the training:

"Every Family Justice Center Director needs to come to this course because we are the collaboration people. We are the multidisciplinary team people, and that's what this needs."

Throughout the training, participants work through actual cases, examining investigative decisions, identifying missed opportunities, and learning practical strategies that can be implemented in their own communities.

One of the most powerful aspects of the experience is hearing directly from family members whose persistence helped uncover the truth. As Candace reflected:

"They are the experts. They know so much about their loved one. Hearing what they've gone through is heartbreaking—but seeing justice finally happen after years was incredible."

Why Every Family Justice Center Director

Should Attend Hidden Homicides

  • Learn to identify hidden homicide cases that might otherwise go unrecognized.
  • Strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration across your community.
  • Analyze real investigations to understand what was missed—and what ultimately led to justice.
  • Hear firsthand from surviving family members whose voices changed the course of investigations.
  • Return with practical tools to build or strengthen a Hidden Homicides team in your community.

Hidden homicides exist in every community. The question is whether your community is prepared to recognize them. If you're committed to leading innovative, collaborative responses that bring justice to victims and their families, we invite you to join us at High Peak Camp in Estes Park, Colorado September 21-25, for the 2026 Hidden Homicides Training.
