Join us for LGBTQ+ Allyship & Inclusion Training!

Wednesday, February 26

Many of us in WILPF, may not be aware of the subtle but significant barriers that affect LGBTQ+ participation, such as non-inclusive language and accessibility challenges. With the challenges facing our communities under the current administration, fostering inclusivity is more important than ever.

Supporting our LGBTQ+ activists goes beyond simply opening the door—it requires awareness, education, and action. Join me as I host a training session on how each branch can create a more inclusive and informed community.

As a community organizer for Equality Arizona, I organized queer-centered events, mobilized volunteers, and advocated for LGBTQ+ representation in Arizona’s political process, including on the floors of the House and Senate. Additionally, as a fellow at the Western States Center, I monitored anti-LGBTQ+ school board candidates across Arizona, exposing harmful rhetoric and informing communities ahead of the critical 2024 elections. I’m excited to share the strategies I’ve learned for creating inclusive spaces.

If you have any questions, please email me at shelby@wilpfus.org.

We hope you'll join us in creating a more inclusive and informed community!
