Spring Gala

You are cordially invited to join us for the WWS 2024 Spring Gala: Light the Way. On Saturday, April 20, we are hosting the Gala in our very own John and Mary Brauer Gym! Please visit our Gala Website to learn more about the event and buy your ticket. Tickets are on sale now through Friday, March 29.

We are seeking event sponsors for the Gala. We will be honored to recognize sponsors at the event, on our website, and in the Honor Roll of the Annual Report. If you are interested in sponsoring, please visit the Gala Website and look for the “Buy Tickets or Sponsorships” button.

Another way to participate in our Gala is to host one of our traditional Buy-In Party experiences. If you are interested in being a host, please fill out the Google form. If you would like to host, but need an idea for an experience, reach out to Meg Kneisl, and she can help design your party!

We are also accepting donations of wine for our Wine Cellar Silent Auction. If you have a favorite bottle - or bottles - of wine you would like to donate, please fill out the Google form. All donations of wine should be left at the front desk with your name on them, so they can be properly stored and credited by the Development Office.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, April 20!

St. Anselm's Basketball Tournament

The WWS Red-Tailed Hawks beat the Paul Charter Pirates 57-39 in the 2pm Sunday game of the St. Anselm's Invitational Basketball Tournament this past weekend. The Pirates and the Hawks traded leads throughout the first quarter, though by the end of the half WWS had the lead, which they would never relinquish. The Hawks came out with a scoring burst in the second half, growing their lead to double digits. The Pirates, who played a five-man "ironman" side with no substitutes, briefly clawed back to within two points. In the end, the Hawks' second-half defense proved too much, intercepting multiple Pirate passes for easy breakaways, stretching the lead.

The Hawks played a strong game, with contributions up and down the roster. With the win, they finished the tournament in fifth place after winning Friday, losing Saturday, and finishing strong with the Sunday victory.

Thanks to Trevor Goodyear (parent G3) for the photos and write up!
