Art Across the Spectrum
Save the date, June 10, for our spring virtual fundraiser, Art Across the Spectrum!  
 
Art Across the Spectrum is designed to celebrate the diversity and creativity of individuals on the spectrum. The virtual event will include a fun program and a silent auction comprised of artistic works created by individuals on the spectrum, along with other items you will surely enjoy.

Book Review
Our fourth book is "We Walk: Life with Severe Autism" by Amy S.F. Lutz.

This book is a collection of essays that explore some of the difficult questions many in the autism community, as well as the larger disability community, ask themselves. From feeding issues to medical marijuana and more, this book will get you to think about the many issues facing families living with autism.
iPad for Kids with Autism
iPads with specialized apps can accelerate the development of communication skills for children on the spectrum. ASGC, in partnership with Digital Sparks, will provide iPads to families to help children with autism with communication and learning. Each iPad will come with TouchChat, a communication app for individuals needing assistance with verbal communication.

Digital Sparks is a non-profit that aims to bring assistive digital communication devices to help children in need. They partner with organizations focused on supporting children on the autism spectrum to get digital technologies to help kids and families. Possibilities for
Diverse Abilities

This program a collaborative effort of a group of community partners whose goal is to share the many local supports and opportunities Cincinnati offers for individuals and families with diverse abilities. 
 
Join us this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. for a conversation about Early Childhood: Lessons for Life. We will discuss Help Me Grow, DD services eligibility, and hear personal experience and wisdom for caregivers who have walked in your shoes.
