Sunset over Covells Beach in Hyannis, MA

Greetings!

Fall is in full swing, and I'm sure you've noticed the sunsets arriving earlier each evening.

The view from Covells Beach this week is a good reminder that they're every bit as beautiful, and a nice reason to step outside for a few minutes after the workday. With a busy few weeks ahead, I'm hoping to run into a lot of familiar faces.

On October 14, we'll be at Power of the Purse at the Hyannis Port Club, and on October 21 our team heads to Worcester for the Massachusetts Council of Nonprofits Annual Conference. Then it's back on Cape for Philanthropy Day at Margaritaville in Hyannis on October 27.

Philanthropy Day is a favorite of mine, since so many people doing good work on the Cape end up in one room, and I usually leave with a couple of ideas I can put to use right away. If you're headed to any of them, please come find us and say hello. There are a few more events down below in the newsletter, too.

As always, thank you for being part of our community. Hope to see you out there! ๐Ÿ‘‹

All the best,

Kim

PS: CapeSpace will be closed Monday, October 12 for the long weekend. Members with 24/7 access are welcome to come in as always.

Nonprofit of the Month

Each month, CapeSpace offers complimentary use of our meeting spaces to a local nonprofit. This month, we're shining a light on one of our recipients.

SCORE Cape Cod & the Islands

SCORE has been providing free, confidential mentoring to small business owners nationwide since 1964. Its volunteer mentors are experienced business leaders who help entrepreneurs at every stage, from a first business plan to the next stage of growth, and that mentoring stays free for the life of your business.

Their local chapter also offers workshops and webinars on topics like cash flow, hiring, and marketing, along with dedicated mentoring for nonprofit leaders. We're glad to host two of their upcoming workshops at CapeSpace Mashpee Commons.

If your nonprofit is looking for a professional space to meet, workshop, or gather, we'd love to hear from you. Just reply to this email and let us know! ๐Ÿ’Œ
