The best laid plans can go astray much more easily in our "new world."

Last week's calendar was chock full. In addition to several expected in-person meetings, we had the Techstars Boston Demo Day on Wednesday and the pitches for Northstar Campus' SBIR grant on Thursday.

But I attended none of them in-person. Our family is getting pretty good at isolating one member of the family for their COVID recovery while the rest of us cancel our meetings and test regularly (with crossed fingers.) I might not be sick (yet) but I can not risk you and other members of the community. I've been exposed and that means I could be a risk factor if I attend a crowded event.

We're all in the same boat and if I engage in risky behavior, I'm potentially harming more than myself. We all need to be careful for each other.

Thank you for all you are doing to be a responsible member of the Boston Innovation community.

Inspired by conversations at the 2013 MassTLC unConference, Unpitch is designed to facilitate connections between entrepreneurs and investors. It's NOT about delivering an elevator pitch onstage, a "demo day" presentation, or trying to grab a few seconds with a venture capitalist in a conference hallway. Instead, Unpitch is a chance to have lunch with an angel investor or VC in a casual, no-pressure environment, discuss your business, get meaningful feedback on your ideas, and make connections that will help you get to the next stage.
