One Week to Alpha!

Beginning Sept 10

When Julie was first invited to Alpha, her answer was no. She was busy with work and family and just didn’t have time. Then she agreed to give it a try. That “no” became a yes. That yes became an Alpha participant. And that participant became an Alpha team member.

So don’t take our word for what Alpha is or why you should give it a try. Watch Julie’s message and hear what she found: community, a safe space to explore questions about faith without judgment—and a reason to keep coming back.

Then take Julie’s advice: give it a try. Alpha begins Thursday, September 10 at 6:30pm at SJE. Follow this link to register, you're invited!

Don’t blink! This year is speeding by faster than kids racing to the last day of school, so be sure to read all the way to the end!

Mary, Mother of Life

October 4 | All Masses

This Respect Life Sunday, we begin Respect Life Month by looking to Mary, whose faithful “yes” reminds us to welcome, cherish, and care for every human life. From accompanying an expectant mother to receiving care in her later years, Mary shows us what it means to honor the dignity of every person from conception to natural death.

Throughout October, join us in prayer and action as we work together to build a culture of life—one that welcomes, accompanies, protects, and loves every person at every stage of life.

Gospel in Focus

September 6, 2026Jesus tells His disciples what to do when someone does something wrong, or hurts

someone else. “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” —Matthew 18:20

Discussion Questions

When you see someone doing something wrong,

how do you respond? With gentleness or spite?

Or are you afraid to speak up? How can we imitate Christ in these situations?

What communities are you a part of? Why is it

important to be a part of a community?

How does loving your neighbor go beyond just the commandments?
