Share the Beauty of Prayer

Wednesday, April 29th, Feast of St. Catherine of Sienna
Friday, May 1st, Feast of St. Joseph the worker
St. Dominic receiving the rosary from the Blessed Mother, with St. Catherine of Siena.
In the 17th century, a Dominican friar called for a round-the-clock praying of the rosary by the laity and religious in Italy in the midst of a terrible plague. Today, another Dominican friar, Fr. Lawrence Lew, O.P., is asking for the same thing from Catholics all around the world!

Wednesday, April 29 is the feast day of St. Catherine of Siena, Doctor of the Church and patron saint of nurses. And on that day, Dominicans are asking everyone to pray a rosary at 9 pm local time, entrusting the world to the protection of the Blessed Mother and begging for the end of the pandemic.

We invite you to join Catholics around the world in prayer!
St. Catherine, who lived during the 1300’s, is a saint for our own times in a special way as she lived during and ministered to the victims of the Black Death, the most fatal pandemic recorded in human history.
