It takes 12 volunteers every weekend to keep worship running smoothly. If you are able to help, please sign up using the links above. Training will be provided! Contact Amy Steenson with any questions.

Pastor Trudy's Message

God's building program. King David feels guilty living in a beautiful home when God is in a tent. He comes up with a plan to build God a house... but God makes clear that the building plan God has in mind doesn't involve bricks and mortar but hearts and minds.  What a perfect reminder as our adult and youth confirmands affirm the promises of their baptisms!

Holy and Mighty God, we are Your home in the world. Help us to use all of the gifts You have given us to honor and serve Your people. In Jesus' name, Amen.

What’s the big deal with confirmation?

*We will do our best to respond to your questions in the enews, but can't promise that we will get to all of them. You can email Pastor Trudy if you haven't seen your question and would like an answer.

SHHH! Don't tell Pastor Trudy! 😉 October is Pastor Appreciation Month! For the rest of the month, in the pews you will find cards where you can write Pastor Trudy a note (or doodle!) of gratitude for all that she does at GLC. Leave your note in the jar in the narthex.

• We pray for environmentalists and all who work tirelessly to protect the earth. Grant them strength and guidance to continue their important work.
• We pray for leaders of all kinds. Give them the strength and wisdom to make informed decisions for the wellbeing of our communities. Help them to see the needs of all people and to lead with compassion.
• We pray for those who are sick or suffering. May they find comfort and healing in your loving presence. Guide the work of doctors, nurses, and all who care for them.
• We pray for hope and renewal for all people. Strengthen us to overcome challenges and live into the future with hope. Help us discover new beginnings and to create a better world for all.

Your gift of $10,000 to LSSI for senior housing helps provide hope for the over 50,000 people we serve each year. We could not continue to serve so many of our neighbors without people like you making the decision to help others in their time of greatest need. Through this simple act of generosity, you have followed the example of Christ and loved your neighbor as yourself. Your donation will help those we serve immediately and lift them up to reach their full, God-given potential. Thank you for remembering LSSI with your gift. It is a blessing and a privilege to serve alongside you.

Peace and Prayers, David P Novak, LSSI VP of Advancement
