Our Vision Statement:

We are a welcoming community FIRST UNITED in proclaiming FAITH in Jesus Christ, sharing HOPE for the future, and inspiring LOVE of our neighbors.

Lord, Teach Us to Follow Your Way

"Heavenly Father, guide us to listen carefully to Your Word and follow Your instructions with humble and faithful hearts. Help us recognize the difference between simply speaking about Your truth and living it out each day. Keep us from pride, selfishness, and the desire for recognition. Teach us to lead through love, serve without seeking praise, and treat others with kindness and compassion. When we lose our way, lead us back to Your wisdom and truth. May our actions reflect our faith, our words bring encouragement, and our lives honor You. In Jesus' name, Amen."

October is Pastor Appreciation Month!

This month, we celebrate "Pastor Appreciation Month" and give thanks for our co-pastors, Rev. Dr. Luke Farwell and Rev. Meggan Farwell. We are grateful for their faithful leadership, guidance, compassion, and dedication to our church family. Please join us in sharing our appreciation and thanking them for all they do to lead, serve, and walk alongside us in faith.

Men's Club-Fruitcake Sales

The Men's Club 69th Annual Bake and Sale of Traditional Dark Fruitcakes will go on sale this Saturday, October 31st in the Church office from 9am to noon. Sales will continue after worship on Sundays and available in the office Mon-Thurs 9am to 1pm. Reserve yours by calling 920.336.1446 or emailing the church office at office.fupc@gmail.com. Proceeds will be used to support the ministries of First United Presbyterian Church.

Bake for a Cause: PW Election Day Bake Sale

Election Day is about more than casting your vote-it's also an opportunity to share your favorite homemade treats and support a meaningful cause! First United Presbyterian Church's Presbyterian Women (PW) will host an Election Day Bake Sale on Tuesday, November 3, and we need your help to make it a sweet success.

Whether your specialty is cookies, bars, breads, pies, or cakes, we invite you to share your baking talents with the community. With voters heading to the polls, its the perfect opportunity to treat someone to something delicious while supporting Presbyterian Women's mission projects.

How You Can Help:

We are looking for lots of baked-good donations! Please bring your donations prepackaged and ready to sell to the church office hallway on Monday, November 2, by 6:30 pm. Since we cannot use the church kitchen to repackage items into individual portions, please package your treats before dropping them off.

Proceeds from the bake sale will support Presbyterian Women's mission project at the local, regional, and national levels, as well as the mission of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Every donation makes a difference, and every baked good helps us share our gifts with others. Thank you for helping us turn Election Day into an opportunity to serve, give, and make a difference in our community!

Questions? Please contact Ginger France or Jan Nelson.

Dead Reformer's Society

We will not be having a Dead Reformer's Society Meeting this month, as it lands on the Election Day. We will however still be meeting in December at the same time and same place. See you then!

**Special Note: The Men's Breakfast Group will not be meeting the morning of Thanksgiving Day.**

Agape Drive Thru Dinner

Pastors Book Club

The Pastor's Book Study Group will begin in the new year by reading Home, the acclaimed novel by Marilynne Robinson. Set in the small Iowa town of Gilead, the novel explores family, faith, forgiveness, and the complicated paths that lead us home. Through the lives of the Boughton family, Robinson invites readers to reflect on grace, human frailty, and the possibility of reconciliation. Join us on Monday, January 11, at 6:30 pm in the K-Lounge at First United Presbyterian Church for a thoughtful conversation about his beautifully written novel and its enduring questions about faith, family, and the meaning of home. All are welcome!

New Class: Essentials of Reformed Systematic Theology

Join Pastor Luke for a new yearlong study of Reformed Systematic Theology by Joel R. Beeke and Paul M. Smalley, beginning Monday, January 4. The class will meet weekly on Mondays from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the K-Lounge at First United Presbyterian Church. Over the course of 50 weeks, participants will work through this substantial resource by reading approximately 18 pages per week and gathering for discussion and learning. The book retails for approximately $35 and is available through Walmart.com and other booksellers. All are welcome, especially those who want to deepen their understanding of Christian theology and discover how the various teachings of the Christian faith fit together into a coherent whole. Whether you are new to theology or looking to deepen your theological understanding, this class offers an opportunity to grow in knowledge, faith, and discipleship. If you are interested and have questions, feel free to contact Pastor Luke.
