Vantaca Is Now Live at Bald Head Association

The Bald Head Association is pleased to announce that Vantaca is now fully up and running as our new community management software system. As part of this transition, all members will receive a mailed billing statement, and in addition, an electronic copy will also be sent by email. This dual delivery is intended to ensure everyone receives their information clearly and reliably as we move into the new system.

Please note that assessment statements will show a statement date of January 10, 2026. However, because this is a new system for both BHA staff and our members, no late fees will be assessed until March 10, 2026. This grace period is intended to allow ample time for everyone to become familiar with Vantaca and the new login and billing process. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this transition and look forward to the improved communication, transparency, and efficiency Vantaca will bring to our community.

Visit the new Vantaca portal and follow these step-by-step instructions. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the BHA office.

Maintaining Standards at BHA

In accordance with the Bald Head Association’s Community-Wide Standards (CWS) enforcement procedures, inspections were conducted throughout 2025 to ensure all properties remain in compliance with community appearance and maintenance guidelines. The inspections were carried out by section to maintain a systematic review of the island. Section 1 will begin in January, section 2 in February, etc. Click the map to see areas in more detail or visit our website.

Compliance Summary

Total Homes Inspected: All homes within the above-listed sections 3-12

Total Violations Issued: 36

Violations Closed/Resolved: 24

Open Violations: 12

Conclusion: The 2025 inspections reflect continued homeowner engagement and strong compliance with the Community-Wide Standards. Follow-up inspections will continue throughout the year to ensure timely resolution of outstanding items and to uphold the overall appearance and value of Bald Head Island’s residential properties.

Creative Connections

Once again, BHI welcomes the No Boundaries International Art Residency, a nonprofit that supports visiting artists through immersive residencies and community engagement. Their stay kicks off with a potluck dinner hosted by the Education and Recreation Committee on January 12, bringing together resident artists and community members for an informal evening of conversation and shared food. On January 17, students from DREAMS Center for Arts Education will visit the island to work alongside the artists at the Conservancy. DREAMS is a Wilmington-based organization dedicated to providing high-quality arts education to young people, with a focus on access, mentorship, and creative growth. Learn more about NBIAR here.

LIVE

Operation Reforest Watering Volunteers Needed

We have an urgent need beginning the last week in January for volunteers to help with the weekly watering (when needed) of the live oak trees that were planted last month on BHA land. These nine trees are located on a one-mile stretch along South Bald Head Wynd between Sea Holly Court and Thistle Ridge. Time commitment would be about an hour each time. A 50-gallon water tank is available to fit in your golf cart, and the water is provided by the Village. For further details, contact Jim Nichols.

Calling All Volunteers! Committee Openings Available.
