Give a listen and learn more about Jeffrey Epstein.

It became clear that to keep up with this demand for press interviews I would have to have a professional studio with sound barriers, microphone and camera so I could move steps from my office to my studio to complete an interview and then continue my day at work.
‌
Thus, my new studio with professional sound and visuals just steps away from my desk. Thank you team, you worked hard and our consummate professionals who gladly jumped in to provide professional services.

Next Up Honorable Harvey Brownstone, a retired judge of the Ontario Court of Justice, and the first openly gay judge in Canada.
.
As a former judge he was faced with difficult decisions of how to best help prostituted youth and he had many questions most people don't ask and I answered them all.

I really enjoyed working with him and he was thrilled someone could answer his questions about prostituted youth. Questions that haunted him.

Meanwhile Children of the Night case managers field calls and provide services to a prostituted youth with 2 children. She was sick and tired of prostituting and needed emergency housing.

Case managers were able to place her and her children in a domestic violence shelter temporarily.

They purchased holiday gifts for the small family and are helping the mother with a resume, job applications, childcare and obtaining government identification.

It may sound simple but it is not - temporary shelters and crisis shelters are temporary, and our case managers must move with lightning speed to obtain services meeting immediate needs and then following through with a long term plan with contingencies.

Yesterday, we received a testimonial from this young woman in a social media post. It read:

"I wish I would have found this place sooner the people here work overtime to help you find resources faster than any place I’ve ever went to they help assist with Lyft rides plane tickets they pay for a few nights in a hotel this place is hand crafted by god himself and I’m truly grateful and blessed to have found them."

Our Case Managers must be able to Multitask
and have Nerves of Steel
At the same time, the phones are ringing and there are many others who need help. It is not an easy job and we demand a lot from our caseworkers. There is nothing that feels good about their work except for a
good night's sleep.

There is always a sigh of relief when you rescue a prostituted youth from a violent man and she calls or texts, "I wanted to let you know that we made it to Texas. And I wanted to thank you for your help with everything."

And the beat goes on to the next call.

The Move From Prostitution to a Normal Life
is not as simple as 1, 2, 3

But often success is only temporary, and we hold our breath to see how long we can keep our youth, like Mary, off the street. Mary has lived out of her car for several months. She had a good job and worked hard but made too much money for public housing but not enough for an apartment. You don't hear much about these cases but they are the most challenging.

We were finally successful with hiring a credit company to clean up her debt which helped her qualify for a small apartment.

She sees one of our prominent volunteer Psychologists but recently she has not been showing up.

So we wait for her to call because she won't answer our calls - she is angry with us. Our case workers are special people who can handle the rollercoaster of emotions that characterize their work with prostituted youth. But if they don't do this work, who will?

Natalie has been rescued from her pimp in Houston and California. Our case manager has rescued her 4 or 5 times, but Natalie gets lonely and calls her pimp and he sweet talks her into returning to him. Although she had a job, reunited with her family and was making new friends, she could not resist him.

Of course the abuse and forced prostitution continues.

She called just the other day and one of our caseworkers came to my office with her head in her hands and asked what to do? I told her "this is the job" you will rescue her until she is sick and tired of being sick and tired. We continue to place her in domestic violence program. Because I have 45 years of experience I have seen young people just like this make it off the street. Sadly the damage that occurs in the long term process is sometimes irreversible (HIV).

Case Management is a Team Effort

Annie had a baby by emergency C-section and needed assistance with housing and baby supplies.

Meliza assisted her to create an Amazon wish list for diapers, wipes, basinet, baby clothes, and baby hygiene.

Mayra found temporary housing placement for Annie and her two children for 2 weeks only.

Annie was discharged from the program because she had stayed the maximum time.

Victoria reached out to Annie's grandmother who offered to allow Annie to live in her home.

We agreed to pay for airline transportation to grandma's.

Victoria followed up with Grandma to check on the living situation and Grandma assured us everything was fine. She mentioned Annie's room is not completely furnished so she and the baby have been sleeping in the living room.

We bought Annie a bed and a few other things to settle Annie in a permanent setting for her and her children.

Our case management team has begun work on Annie's resume, job application and childcare.
For over two decades, the transformative partnership between Digital Telecommunications Corporation (DTC) and Children of the Night has been instrumental in empowering the latter's vital mission. This enduring relationship began with Children of the Night primarily seeking voice-related products and services from DTC. However, when they faced challenges with their existing IT service provider, they turned to DTC for a more comprehensive IT assistance, marking the beginning of a much deeper collaboration.

DTC's involvement ranged from enhancing cybersecurity to implementing a modern IT infrastructure, significantly aiding Children of the Night in their noble cause of rescuing and rehabilitating American children from abusive environments. The synergy of DTC's innovative IT solutions and Children of the Night's dedication to providing a better future for vulnerable children exemplifies how long-term partnerships can lead to impactful and
sustainable change.

Children of the Night's Global Tutoring Program

Sadly our Global Tutoring Program is "At Risk" because of
a lack of continued funding.
Tanzania
Kenya
Kenya
100 hardworking students are about to lose access to our one one one online tutoring program because of a lack of
continued funding.

Their tutoring was funded by a
$1 million anonymous gift.

Although our cost effective, highly supervised tutoring for ESL & Math
so these children may have alternatives to prositution is admired by many,
most Americans prefer their donations are spent on
American children.

This program is only 25% of our budget and our tutors and students are facing major disappointment.

The cost to teach 100 students in developing countries is
$500,000 annually.

Without a commitment from donors we must pull back to maintain our programs
in America.

We do not sit behind our desks
and wait for our young people
to fall back on the streets.

We are out on the streets and in the community where our children live.

We pay close attention to our young people we have rescued from the street
and we maintain contact with them
for several years.

Children of the Night is unlike other organizations who rescue and dump these children on government social services.

Children of the Night staff is committed
to every little detail required for
transition to a successful adult life.
Private donations make our
life saving work
possible and distinguish
Children of the Night
from other organizations funded by government where
one size fits all.

Our staff stands alone in
their commitment to
the children with whom we work.

We simply cannot do the work we do
without you.

You have supported our efforts to help prostituted youth, and
you have saved lives with your support.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
