July 2026

This year marks 250 years of American independence. Here in Hall County, that milestone carries special meaning, as our community is named for Lyman Hall, one of Georgia's three signers of the Declaration of Independence.

Throughout the year, Hall County has celebrated this historic anniversary through community events that honor our shared history and the enduring ideals of public service. We invite you to explore highlights from these commemorative events and see how the legacy of our nation's founding continues to inspire our community today.

As we continue celebrating our shared history, Hall County remains focused on investing in the future through services, programs and projects that strengthen our community every day.

From Concept to Construction...

Just as we honor the vision that shaped our nation, Hall County continues to invest in a vision for our community's future. One of those investments is the new East Hall Library - a project that will expand access to education, technology and lifelong learning for generations to come.

Construction is complete on the approximately 9,300-square-foot library, which is located at the East Hall Community Center at 3911 P Davison Road in Gainesville.

Maintaining a no-kill animal shelter takes an entire community.

For the third consecutive year, the Hall County Animal Shelter has maintained its no-kill shelter status, thanks to the dedication of staff, volunteers, rescue partners, foster families, adopters, donors and residents who continue to support lifesaving efforts.

Every adoption creates space for another animal in need. Every foster home provides temporary care. Every volunteer and donation helps ensure Hall County can continue providing lifesaving services to pets across our community.

Whether you're looking to adopt, foster, volunteer or donate, there are many ways you can make a difference. Together, we're giving Hall County's pets a brighter future - one life at a time.

Hall County's strength has always come from the people who call it home.

As we celebrate our shared history and look toward the future, we remain committed to making thoughtful investments, planning responsibly and providing services that improve quality of life across our community. From new facilities and long-range planning to elections, public safety and animal services, each initiative reflects our responsibility to serve Hall County today while preparing for tomorrow. That work is strongest when residents stay informed, share their perspectives and take part in the life of their community.

Thank you for your continued engagement and for helping make Hall County a place we are proud to call home.
