Greetings from C. Darby Ulery, founder of "Let's Go! Fairhope," events-related newsletter, calendar and website resource for Fairhope, Alabama.
Tomorrow is the deadline to submit statements of candidacy for the City of Fairhope municipal elections scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, 7 AM - 7 PM.
This week, there are TWO grand-opening / ribbon cuttings in Fairhope (and a third in Daphne!) in conjunction with the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce.
The Blind Tiger Fairhope let us know they are back open (again!), after the construction-related closure to the Fairhope Municipal Pier area, celebrating summer with frozen bushwhackers (21+) on the deck 11 am - 9 PM daily.
Southern Grove Vineyard's The Grove Wine Club will hold it's first meeting this Wednesday, June 25. They are accepting new members and there's still time to join! Link below.
Rock Creek Golf Club is hosting their very first FREE Bridal Expo this Wednesday, June 25. Information, with registration link, below.
Fish River Baptist Church has announced they are looking for photos, stories, and church memories to incorporate into a special 50 years Homecoming Celebration this October. Please contact the church office if you have anything to contribute.
The Fairhope Social Club is NOW open for LUNCH!
Debby Hackbarth will be speaking tomorrow evening about her new book at the Fairhope Public Library.
The USA By the Bay Speakers Series is back with Dr. Todd Andel on "AI at the Crossroads: Unleashing Generative Power While Safeguarding Our Digital World" on Thursday.
Next week:
American Legion Post 199 will be serving up $15 BBQ plates starting at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 4.

2025 Air Race Classic Follow-up
Let's Go! Fairhope usually focuses on future events, but after the disappointing weather-related cancellation of the official takeoff from Sonny Callahan Airport in Fairhope, combined with the excitement surrounding last week's historic happenings, this one still deserves wings!

Who won??
It's not as simple as who arrived at the finish line first! According to the Air Race Classic:
"[T]his race isn’t about who gets to the Terminus first - this is a handicapped speed race. Whoever beats their handicap speed the best, wins. We’ll have to wait until Sunday night to find out the winners of each class!"
"[W]inners will be revealed at the Terminus Awards Banquet on Sunday night."
