YLC Welcomes Spring 2025 Cohort Members

Photos provided by Roland's Photography.

On March 5, YLC kicked off its spring training semester with an Opening Session held at the Janet Ayers Academic Center on the campus of Belmont University. A total of 109 individuals are participating in the program this spring through the Junior League of Nashville, Nashville, and Jack C. Massey College of Business at Belmont University Cohorts.

Derek Young, president and CEO of Young Motivation Group served as the keynote speaker for Opening Session, sharing strategies and anecdotes to help inspire participants to become the ultimate board member. Over the course of the 11-week program, cohort members will learn from expert instructors on topics deemed crucial for successful board leadership in the nonprofit community. Once training concludes, participants will leverage YLC’s Board Connect platform to be placed as board interns for a local nonprofit agency where they will serve as a non-voting member of the organization’s board for 12 months.

Enhance Your Board Recruitment Process with Board Connect

On March 21, YLC hosted an information session highlighting our 11-week training and board internship placement program. More than 50 nonprofit organizations joined us to explore the benefits of partnering with YLC and how to leverage the Board Connect platform to recruit well-trained board members who can help advance their mission.

As we reach the mid-semester mark of our spring training, we encourage local nonprofit organizations to create a profile and post opportunities on Board Connect. This platform allows organizations to list board internships, governing board roles, and volunteer opportunities – connecting them with passionate and prepared leaders ready to serve.
