Help Hub
Walk in Hours T-Th 9-12
Closed Dec 21 - 31
Several weeks ago, we received a call from a mother newly arrived in Wilmington, having escaped an abusive relationship. She urgently needed care for her one year old son, having found a good job in food service. We were able to place and pay for the first week of day care, and also connect her to Family Promise for a longer term living solution and Catholic Charities for diapers, formula and food pantry needs. This young woman recognizes that being directed to the Harrelson Center and Help Hub allowed her to meet essential urgent needs and establish connections for long term solutions.
