Welcome to the All Saints' Young Adults Newsletter (this is the second one)! We plan to publish this newsletter every week or two to provide updates about what's coming up for young adults, as well as parish-wide events that might interest you. If you do not wish to receive these updates, you can unsubscribe at any time (scroll to the bottom of the email). If you'd prefer to receive the parish-wide weekly newsletter instead (or in addition), click here and select the Main Parish-Wide Email List.
August 22, 2019
Friends,
Spoiler alert: We are not hiking to a brewery this Saturday morning. But you don’t have to hash hops or even be an athlete to enjoy our “hop, skip, and jump” over to Sweetwater Creek State Park (though we do leave All Saints’ on Saturday morning at 8:15am sharp!) Some are planning to bring along pets. Most will wear sunscreen and hats. All of us (I emphasize ALL!) should plan to bring along personal hydration, especially if you’re prone to headaches in the heat (as I am).

This year, I hope you all channel your energy and excitement into forging new connections with one another. We’ve come up with some creative excursions this fall to help nurture those friendships. Besides our usual “Saints on Tap” gatherings, we’ll be putting pep into our communal step with monthly adventures, exploring our city and even venturing OTP (as we will Saturday).

If you can bring a new friend or two to these outings, please do. All are welcome. If you need a ride or can offer rides when we carpool, please let me know. Still debating whether to carve out the time in your busy schedule? I doubt you will regret breathing, moving, and lightening your weekly load with laughter and fun. Set your sights on meeting someone new within the younger set from All Saints’… we’ll look forward to hanging out with you!
Blessings,
The Rev. Sarah Stewart
Associate Rector for Young Adults and Innovation

Enjoy active fun in the shade (and sun) as we hike one of the trails at Sweetwater Creek State Park (expect a 3-5-mile walk). Meet at the church to depart for the park at 8:15 a.m. sharp. Pack your own water, sunscreen, and light snacks for the morning. Bring money for lunch, as we will plan to stop for a bite together before our drive back. Please email me at sstewart@allsaintsatlanta.org by Thursday, August 22 to let me know if you’re coming so we can arrange carpooling.

Monday, September 16, 7:00 p.m. Labyrinth Walk and 8:00 p.m. Taize Service, St. Philip's Cathedral

Explore contemplative movement and prayer, as we engage the ancient practice of walking the labyrinth and participate in a communal service of Taizé prayer at St. Philip's Cathedral.
